LOCATION: Austin, TX This two-day training is designed to help Christian pastors and lay leaders understand the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence and the ramifications of violence on individuals, the church and the community. This course focuses on "prevention" and will equip trainers to teach Healthy Boundaries 101 Fundamentals & 201 Beyond Basics. Women learn at an early age to live with fear of violence—at home, at school, in the workplace, on the street.
It also equips churches to develop protocols to protect victims, prevent future harm, and respond effectively and sensitively to victims/survivors, their families, and abusers. The course is designed for those who are designated by their judicatory or organization to train clergy and spiritual teachers about healthy boundaries. This awareness is something we all share even though our ways of coping with it may differ.
